Longbridge Football Club was formed in the summer of 2016, to help address the lack of sporting opportunities within the area of Ilford/Barking; for ages 7 to 13.
A few, prepared with the aim to reach out and engage the young generation, eventually turned into many, who are now participating in high level local community leagues and tournaments. The passion and support received from families and friends to help develop a sense of purpose within the community has been a key driving force to achieving so much in such minimal time.
LFC are funded and supported by local members of the community who are very clear in their objective and that is to create an environment for collaborative learning, progression and promoting a healthy lifestyle. LFC train once a week in Loxford Leisure Centre by volunteer coaches who are qualified and equipped with a plethora of knowledge and experience.
The aim is to give young minds a perspective, a different one, which would allow them to grow with experiences of working together to achieve goals.
